Bookmark No. 10

This little bookmark was inspired by a Zenpirations stencil I purchased recently (link) at the Blue Moon Scrapbook online store.  It took about 46 minutes to make and it was a very relaxing thing to do for me since I have just take a test (night class)  that stressed me out.  Came home got my comfy pajamas some passion lemonade ice tea and this is the result!

My process:
  • I stenciled the flower with Tim Holtz "broken china" Distressed Ink pad using a light touch.  The next step was to trace the flower with my micron pen.
  • In honor of the Zenspiration method which inspired the stencil I added some dangles coming out of the the flower and leaves to add dimension and a more whimsical look to the flower.
  • For a last touch I colored some of the dangles with a complementary gel pen color.
I love reading and even in this day and age of all the cool e-readers and fancy phones I still love the feel of a actual paper book.  As long as I can hold a actual book in my hands once in a while I will always love bookmarks!

Be safe and have a great day!
